Chef John Byrne

Chef John Byrne's passion for food and cuisine has been a driving force throughout his culinary career of over 25 years.

Chef John Byrne was born in Dublin, Ireland. He studied Cordon Bleu Cookery and then trained for a further seven years under Master Chef Pierce Hingston at the Burlington Hotel in Dublin.

One highlight of his distinguished career was at the Hotel Olympia, where he contributed to the dietary and culinary needs of the Irish Olympic team, giving them sustenance and strength to achieve their 22 Gold Medal wins at the 1984 Olympics.

In the 1980s and beyond, Chef Byrne honed his skills at some of the finest restaurants and hotels, culminating in managing the Hilton Hotel in San Francisco.

Today, Chef Byrne and his family reside in beautiful San Juan Capistrano, California. He is exclusively the executive chef for Mansion Catering at the Forster Mansion. Chef Byrne is enthusiastic to custom design the perfect menu for your event.
